Wilbur Wright
The eldest of the Wright siblings, Wilbur was born in 1867. He never finished high school, and later abandoned his dreams of attending Yale. Instead, he took to caring for his ill mother for several years. After her death in 1889, he helped his younger brother run a newspaper printing business, and also open a bicycle repair and rental shop. After these two relatively successful business ventures, Wilbur and his younger brother began to work towards developing a practical airplane, something they would achieve on December 17, 1903. Wilbur was said to be very hardworking and good in school. Unfortunately, Wilbur died relatively young, in 1912, at age 45.
Orville Wright
Orville Wright, younger brother of Wilbur Wright, was born in 1871. Just like his brother, he failed to finish high school, and instead of attending college, opened his own newspaper printing business. His brother Wilbur would later join him in this business venture, and they would later move on to bicycles, and eventually, airplanes (as mentioned above). Orville was said to be more of the inventor type than his brother, and was considered more out-going and wild than Wilbur (he often struggled in school at a younger age). Orville died in 1948 due to a sudden heart attack. He lived to be 76 years old.
